Project #26 features Buttons up sculpture

Buttons up is a sculpture created in summer spirit, made from driftwood picked up from the Gulf of Finland, two huge rusty nails and buttons, that I discovered while digging ground at my summer cottage in South-Eastern Finland. To top it all, the head piece is made of rusty tomato sauce container, while the old buttons hang down from copper wire.

Turning old into new is my favorite reason to create small sculptures; this one can be also used as Christmas-light holder, as shown. Sculpture is available for $50 plus shipping costs; contact Veera for more info. Buttons up, size approx. 6x20in.
